Album Review – Ruth and Sean – Everything's OK EP

Sometimes it is easy to get lost in the music shuffle. Every day a new band is hip. Every week there is a new flavour of the week for style. Album and digital music sales are down. An EP like Ruth and Sean’s Everything’s OK is like a breath of fresh air, accomplishing this with n acoustic guitar, a lovely voice, simple rythnms, and soft piano shine through on this album. Clocking in at just under eleven minutes when you include the demo, this EP is short and sweet. Their sound draws on their musical influences without being a carbon copy. These include the vocal work of Regina Spektor, the guitars of Jeff Tweedy, and the coziness of Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova.
